You braved summer afternoon beach traffic, lugged chairs and towels and sand toys five blocks in the scorching heat, and had to wait (sorta) patiently while SPF 45 was smeared all over your face. Felt like you’d never get there.

But then…the salty air hits. Crashing waves, sand crunching against the wooden boardwalk beneath your flip flops. Colors and beach and ocean and throngs of people for miles.

This is summer. This is Wood’r Ice. Boardwalk Summer in a cup. Small batch crafted with real cane sugar and minimalist ingredients. Dairy free, gluten free, vegan. Just good, pure, throwback fun.

Our Story

When East Coast natives, Pat and Christine Flynn moved to Wisconsin, they craved the flavors and the retro Boardwalk feel from back east. Crisp, creamy, perfectly textured water ice (paired with a hot pretzel, now we’re talkin’!) But there wasn’t anything in the Milwaukee area that hit the spot. Besides, with several children who aren’t able to eat gluten or dairy, they set out to create a tasty treat that the entire family could enjoy. Wood’r Ice was born! We may love the 90s, but we’re not stuck in the past when it comes to making truly tasty frozen treats. Small batch crafted with real cane sugar, gluten/dairy free, and vegan, Wood’r Ice is soft serve meets slushie…but without all the weird ingredients.
